Use, charge, maintain.
Safe use, correct charging and preventive maintenance for your YADEA electric motorcycle.
01
Safe and responsible use
- ✓Always wear an approved motorcycle helmet and ensure that any passenger is also properly protected.
- ✓Hold the correct driving licence, observe road traffic laws, speed limits and parking rules, and ride only where legally permitted.
- ✓Do not exceed the motorcycle's permitted load, carry unsecured objects, tow another vehicle, race, perform stunts or use the motorcycle in a way for which it was not designed.
- ✓Do not ride when the brakes, steering, tyres, lights, display, battery warning indicators or any safety-related component appear abnormal.
- ✓Avoid deep water, flooding, heavy impact, corrosive substances, excessive heat and unauthorised modifications.
- ✓Stop riding immediately if there is smoke, a burning smell, unusual heat, electrical arcing, loss of braking, abnormal vibration or an unexpected warning on the display.
02
Battery charging — frequency and method
- ✓Use only the original YADEA charger supplied or expressly approved for the motorcycle and battery.
- ✓Charge after normal use and before the battery remains fully discharged for a prolonged period. Do not repeatedly run the battery to zero unless unavoidable.
- ✓Ensure the motorcycle is switched off, the port is clean and dry, connect securely, then connect to a suitable wall socket.
- ✓Charge in a dry, ventilated area on a firm, non-flammable surface, away from rain, sunlight, children and combustible materials.
- ✓Do not cover the charger, force connectors, use damaged cables, use a wet plug, or use an unsuitable adaptor or low-quality extension lead.
- ✓During charging, check for excessive heat, odour, swelling, smoke or unusual noise. Disconnect safely and contact YADEA Mauritius if abnormal.
- ✓After charging, disconnect carefully and keep charging-port covers closed.
03
Storage and periods of non-use
- ✓Store the motorcycle in a cool, dry and secure place, protected from rain, flooding, direct sun and excessive humidity.
- ✓For long-term storage, keep the battery at an appropriate partial charge (normally around 60-80%, subject to the model manual).
- ✓Recharge or check the battery at least once every 30 days during non-use, unless the model manual specifies another interval.
- ✓Never leave the motorcycle or removable battery fully discharged for an extended period.
- ✓Switch off, remove the key, engage locks and use an additional approved anti-theft device where possible.
- ✓After long storage, perform a full safety inspection before returning the motorcycle to service.
04

- ✓Keep brakes, suspension, fasteners, lights, stands, cables and electrical connectors in good working condition.
